My desire, along with Laura’s husband Cody Payne, and our family and many friends who have helped make this possible it to honor Laura’s life of faith. She fought stage 4 sinonasal neuroendochrine carcinoma for five hard years before passing into the presence of The Master, Yeshua, Jesus, on June 10th, 2020. Laura’s testimony as she lived with cancer touched thousands of lives.
I’m Banner Kidd, Laura’s dad. She planned to write this book, after she was healed from the wicked tumor in her sinuses. But our heavenly Papa Yah (the God of the Bible) knows best, and He took her Home to Paradise to be with Jesus, and so it was left to me to write Laura’s Healing Journey – The Laura Payne Story. Included in the project is a collection of songs written and recorded by me, her dad, along with the only recording we have of Laura singing a song she wrote called I Will Follow. The song and this book is her testimony.
Laura was born Laura Kidd in Angola, Indiana and lived in Northeast Indiana most of her life, before marrying Cody Payne and moving to East Tennessee in 2016. She was diagnosed with Cancer in 2015. At the very beginning she chose to not go the traditional route of treating cancer. Her journey of home treatments, naturopaths, osteopaths, and extended stays in Tijuana, Mexico at Chipsa Hospital was marked by her consistent positive attitude and confidence in her Heavenly Father, YHWH and His Son, Jesus, or Yeshua if you will. Those of you who knew her personally or followed her journey on Facebook saw and heard Laura’s testimony through her life lived in the wide open.
The book is available on Amazon in paperback, on Kindle, and in an audiobook version. All proceeds will be used to pay for production costs, and the ongoing ministry of reaching out to people who are facing loss of a loved one, or a terminal illness, or other major loss, with the hope that the Good News, the Gospel that Laura believed, and we – the family left behind – believes will find a lodging place in their heart. When you have confidence in the One who loves you enough to have died to give you everlasting life, you can face anything. Laura’s testimony is proof.
